Fractures in infants and young children are a significant diagnostic challenge in paediatric imaging, requiring high-quality images, sound impartial clinical judgement and a clear understanding of both inflicted and non-inflicted injury patterns.

Presented by Professor Amaka Offiah, Consultant Paediatric Radiologist, this webinar provided
a comprehensive, case-based overview of the radiological features of physical abuse, emphasising characteristic fractures of abuse and unusual injury patterns, as well as common differential diagnoses. Imaging pathways, technical challenges and guideline-based practice for skeletal surveys are reviewed, with practical tips to optimise diagnostic accuracy and reduce missed injuries.
