Presented by Dr Sean Dugan, this webinar will review the definition and pathophysiology of strangulation and anoxic brain injury, examine patterns of visible injury to the head and neck while recognizing that a lack of visible injury is common in paediatric patients. Dr Dugan recognises the lack of paediatric literature and will identify areas of need for future research. A screening tool designed to identify symptoms of strangulation and anoxic brain injury will also be discussed.
